Martin Lester BSc. (Hons.) Osteopathy
I qualified from the College of Osteopaths in 2007 and have been in continuous practice ever since. Over that time, I’ve had the privilege of helping people from all walks of life — from office workers and parents to athletes and retirees — manage pain, recover from injury, and move more freely in their daily lives. Having treated many different conditions and injuries over the years, I’ve developed a practical, adaptable approach focused on achieving effective, lasting results.
My treatments combine traditional osteopathic techniques with a clear understanding of how the body’s structure and function are closely connected. Whether working to ease tension, restore mobility, or support recovery, my aim is always to help the body find balance and perform at its best. I believe that communication and understanding are key to good treatment, and I take time to explain each step so that patients feel informed and at ease throughout their care.
Outside of my clinical work, I have a lifelong interest in personal development and the ways that mindset and lifestyle influence wellbeing. I’m also a long-standing member (and now Vice Chair) of the Thalian Theatre Company, where I’ve enjoyed performing in amateur musical theatre for over 14 years. When not on stage or in clinic, I can often be found working on DIY projects — a nod to my first degree in engineering. I’ve always liked the observation made by Andrew Taylor Still, the founder of osteopathy, who said:
“Osteopaths make the best engineers, and engineers make the best osteopaths.”
That combination of curiosity, precision and creativity continues to shape both my work and my approach to helping people move and feel better.
