With Coronovirus still prevalent and not going away (until we can vaccinate ourselves from it) our lifestyles have had to adapt in ways that we could never have imagined. To this end, we have had to modify our behaviour here are Clinic Rooms in order to treat our patients.

If you or any member of your household has symptoms for Covid-19, please do not attend.

As Key Workers, osteopaths do have to come in to close contact with patients and we are advised to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

What Should you expect on your visit?

You should call to make an appointment. We will go through a set of questions that will ensure that it is safe for you to leave home given your medial background, ongoing treatments and those who have been self isolating for various reasons; all of which may have compromised your immune system.

We have a Guidance for Patient and Consent form for you to sign on the day of your visit to say that you understand that treatments are hands-on and cannot wholly be risk-free and that you wish to proceed.

If you are coming by car, please park up on the driveway in front of our garage and wait until you are called in. If you cannot park in the space for whatever reason, please only come in at your appointed time. This way you will avoid coming into contact with any other patients.

On entering the practice, use the hand sanitiser provided.

As stated above, you will be met by your osteopath in full PPE and led straight through to the treatment room. He will ask you to wash your hands first though with an alcoholic hand gel.

The treatment room has been modified so that all surfaces that the patient and osteopath come into contact with can be wiped and decontaminated between treatments. This means that there is no cotton plinth cover or pillow slips – they are all covered in plastic! We will still be using disposable couch rolls, but if you would like additional comfort, please bring a large and small towel. A blanket could also be used for additional comfort.

Be assured that the the couch, pillows, table chairs and door handles surfaces will be disinfected after every treatment.

Thank you and I look forward to meeting with you soon. Please don’t forget to bring with you your signed and dated copy of the Guidance for Patients and Consent Form.
